初听莫扎特的安魂曲是在几年之前，当时即为那天籁般的音乐深深打动；但是如此的名作，到现在为止尚无一个较好的翻译，这不能不说是一种遗憾。现尽我所能将全文翻译如下。下列顺序分别是拉丁原文、C.R.F.Maunder的英译、以及我的翻译。网上可见的英译较为忠实原文的词序，而这一英译则更倾向于表达词语的含义。我以这一译本为基础，又参照了网上的译文，以及拉丁原文而译成，译本尽量保持原文的遣词方式；此外主要还参考了孔承平翻译的片段，尤其是最后四节。至于对这一名曲的介绍或解读，在网上俯拾即是，在此就不再加以重复。
译者经验不足，但仍希望此一尝试能够成为可供参考的资料。翻译中的漏洞或与原文的差异也许在所难免；在这一点上，恳请诸位尽量指出，在此感激不尽。
